Acorn Nursery
Our Caterpillars
We are so excited to share with you the photos of our caterpillars we had in our class. Take a look to see what happened.
First they were tiny caterpillars who kept eating their leaf soup at the bottom and they grew bigger and bigger.
They then started to spin their chrysalises.
Once the chrysalises were formed. The lid was carefully removed and transferred to a net ready for the butterflies to emerge. This changing process inside the chrysalis is called metamorphosis.
The butterflies started to emerge.
Look at our beautiful butterflies. Can you see their symmetrical wings?
When they were ready they flew away to find some flowers.
World Book Day
We dressed up as a character from a book.
