My name is Mrs McElhinney.

I was born in the Isle of Man, moved to Belfast for 12years and now happily reside in Bishops Stortford with my family. I have 24 years teaching experience, working in State, Independent, Catholic and an International School (Padova, Italy), specialising mainly in Early Years.
Teaching has always been my passion. I love children’s sense of fun, curiosity and honesty. It was my very own Year 2 Primary School Teacher, Miss Jenkins, who inspired me to follow this vocation. She brought learning to life and made me feel valued and happy in the class. I strive to achieve this through my own teaching. I am creative and feel most content, when covered in glitter, glue and surrounded by busy little fingers! I am excited to be joining my class on their Year 2 journey as they face new adventures, challenges and create memories.
