Chaplaincy Team

Our Chaplaincy Team this year are:

Bethan, Ciaran, Eleanor, Ida, Joshua F, Joshua P, Maja, Mylene and Sienna.

As part of their role, the chaplaincy team supports pupils across the whole school from EYFS to Year 6 in developing and deepening their faith.

From preparing and sharing class worship, to leading us spiritually during Mass, our Chaplaincy Team engage with our school and the wider community on a regular basis.

During significant liturgical events in the year, such as Lent and Advent, the Chaplaincy team support pupils in developing their understanding of the importance of these by leading whole school acts of worship such as ‘The Stations of the Cross’ and The Rosary.

Each year, our chaplaincy team also organise our annual food collection for the local food bank. The team have the opportunity to raise awareness of local, national or global events that they feel need highlighting. These acts of support, prayer and kindness truly follow the mission of our faith.

Our Chaplaincy Team also meet and work with other schools in The St Francis of Assisi Catholic Academy Trust. They go on regular retreat days so that the children can also be spiritually supported, as they give so much support to others.

Our Chaplaincy Team play a vital role in St Joseph’s and in our community.
